Privacy policy

Valorant Fantasy · Champions Edition ("the site") is a free fan-made fantasy game run by the site maintainer — an individual running this as a free hobby project, not a company. The maintainer is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions and requests go through the Discord server (DM a moderator or post in #support).

What we store

You sign in with Discord. From Discord we receive and keep:

• Your Discord user ID, username and avatar URL.
• The email address on your Discord account (used only as your login identity; it is never shown to other players).

While you play, we store what you create:

• A display name and team name you choose. These are public on the leaderboard and in leagues.
• Your squads, captain picks, chips, transfers and points for each gameweek.
• Mini-leagues you create or join, and the join code of leagues you own.

We do not collect payment details, location, contacts, or anything from your device beyond what the browser sends with every request (IP address and user agent, kept in short-lived server logs by our hosting provider).

Why we store it (legal basis)

• To run the game — sign you in, save your squad, compute your points, rank you. Legal basis: performance of the agreement you accept by using the site (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
• To keep the site working and safe — server logs, abuse prevention. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to anyone.

Cookies

The site sets only strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a short-lived cookie (10 minutes) that remembers which page to return you to after Discord login. These require no consent under the ePrivacy rules, which is why there is no cookie banner. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that ever changes, this page and a consent prompt will say so first.

Who else sees your data

• Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting) process data on our behalf as sub-processors under their own data-processing terms.
• Discord handles the login itself under Discord's privacy policy. We never receive your Discord password.
• Other players see your display name, team name, points and rank. Nothing else about you is public.

Match statistics shown on the site come from vlr.gg and concern professional players, not you.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, squads, points and league memberships are deleted immediately; leagues you own are deleted too. Hosting logs expire on their own within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can, at any time:

• See what we hold about you — everything is visible on your squad page, or ask us for an export.
• Correct it — change your display name and team name on your squad page.
• Delete it — use Delete account at the bottom of your squad page, or ask us. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
• Object, restrict, or take your data elsewhere — contact us and we will act within 30 days.
• Complain to your local data-protection authority if you think we got something wrong.

Children

You must meet Discord's minimum age (13, or higher where local law requires) to use the site. We do not knowingly keep data of anyone younger; tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and mention it on the site before it takes effect.
